Good riddance Dick Vermiel, I'm tired of seeing you cry on national TV. I hate to break the bad news, but check out the games against the Raiders under Herm, especially the playoffs games. His defense was putrid. A 40 year old Jerry Rice had over 200 yds receiving in one game. His defenses in NY, were soft. Vinnie S. Check the defense stats under Vermiels term as head coach for the Chiefs. We have been basement dwellers while having one of the best offenses in the NFL. We put the points on the board and our defense gives them back. Herm's first move should be to get rid of Gunther Cunningham. Better yet, did you see the Chiefs-Jets in this years opener? Didn't they score on 4 plays, all runs, in the opening drive? Vinnie S. Like I said, our offense pretty much runs itself. But look at KC's losses, offense puts up the numbers and the defense gives em back. Our secondaries give WR's 4 to 5 step leads, jump off the line and are ineffective in the red zone. Be very afraid of Herms time management skills (or lack of). |

Vermiel was an offensive genius. Edwards, well, is the opposite. Vinnie S. |
