True, I paid over 300 quid for my first PK232MBX, but at the time I could easily get 10 connections into my station at once.. but packet has gone the way of CB, 70cms, etc etc.. i.e dead! I would not say that it is dead .... just no longer the flavour of the month / year. most folks have gone on the internet - a lot faster !! I did run 9k6 tcp/ip and AX25@ 9k6 but when you could get the same sort of thing on the internet (DX cluster etc) at a high speed, more reliable and the equipment was comparatively cheaper than the radio, TNC, 9k6 modem. And who needs a TNC now ? software for sound cards will do it and most have or can find a 486 to run the stuff on. Still I though £25 was about the right value to ask. Looks like Dave will be getting his TNC back then. Yes the KPC'3 were / are a bargain if you want them !! I think the TNCs are better than the soundcards and software, atleast that's my opinion. I wish I could get the latest update proms, version 8.2 for the KPC3. Seems Kantronics quit selling this version about two weeks after I picked one up at a hamfest and were unwilling to sell me the proms. They told me to pitch it and buy the new KPC3+. I don't want to do that as the KPC3 with the version 8.2 proms will do what I want it for. I think they made/make a quality product but their support, lately really sucks, I hate to give in and buy the KPC3+ but if I can't find the version 8.2 proms, I probably will.
