Good grief, now I owe THIS group some on-topic posts.

I re-subscribed to rradm and saw what I thought at first glace was a big
recent North vs. South row, only to look to the right and see that the
posts were from last November. Ooops. Sorry I missed the fun.

My bad.

Would it help if I report that in a recent solemn ceremony I blew my
Windows partition away from the laptop and am now running psk31 on
Mandrake-Linux? Or that I've chosen KPSK 1.0 as my weapon of choice?

crickets

Yeah, I know. I'm already in the killfile for tonight's outburst. It's
damp in here. And moldy. Hello? Is there anyone else here, ere, ere?

distant voice calling

Helloooooo...

approaching footsteps

What the ... Oh, it's you, Fractenna.

(TBC?)

Nicer combination, I am running Mandrake 9.2, with a 2.6.1 kernel and
gmfsk-0.6beta2

The beta release of gmfsk does so much more than the older 0.5 version.

Interesting. I wasn't a big fan of the multimode-style software on
Windows. WinPSKse or Digipan was fine by me. Personal quirk maybe, but I
just like the Unix/Linux philosophy of many single-purpose tools and
programs instead of a big complicated one. So I'm intrigued by the
multipurpose gmfsk *and* its use of hamlib and FFTW. Also, do you know
if future versions of gmfsk will use FFTW 3.0 or stick with the older
version?
