esoftanywhere DSP

Has anyone tried this? It can be downloaded from the web site of the same
name and works great, but it's a trial version and the person who wrote it
died and now there doesn't seem to be anyway to register it or unlock it so
it can be used after the 21 days expires. Anybody found a workaround?

Thanks

The best software, DSP or otherwise for a Radio ham to use
is that which he writes for himself.

Otherwise - try backdating your PC's clock by 3 weeks every
21 days?

Try buying it you idiot, instead of trying to STEAL it.

Hams are theves, no doubt.

Did you actually read the original post you arse ???

How do you propose that he does that ? Go to the website and read about
it yourself.

Nobody is trying to steal anything. There doesn't seem to be a way to buy
it. The following is the message that is on the web site

A Message from the Family of Konrad Byers
I am very sorry to inform you that Konrad Byers (VE1EXE) the developer of
"DSP and More" software and the eSoftAnywhere LLC and web site, is dead at
the age of 34. He was vacationing in Berlin, Germany, when he experienced
chest pain and difficulty breathing and died shortly thereafter in an
ambulance on September 13th, 2003.
I am Konrad's father and I have been getting email addressed to him at
eSoftAnywhere; he (very fortunately) left me his computer password before
he went away. Unfortunately, the completion and distribution of Konrad's
DSP software is well beyond my capabilities. I am also a ham radio operator
(VE1AMU) and I did do some operational testing of his program for him at
various stages of development but I have no knowledge of this level of
programming. Sadly, I have to recognize that all of the work he did on this
project, especially the upgrades he worked on so intently during his last
month, was in vain and the many people who downloaded his 30 day trial beta
version will now only have an expired copy. He was a very talented Clarion
programmer and it is highly unlikely that I can find anyone with the
required skills and interests who could take over and complete his work. I
would like at least to be able to release an unprotected copy of the beta
version someday but I am not yet in a position to say if that will be
possible.
The management of this web site is also something I am unable to
undertake although one of Konrad's colleagues has posted this note for me
and has offered to keep the site going for the present.
In his on-line FAQs my son said he would be giving a "lifetime guarantee"
of on-line upgrades to people who purchased his program. Little did he know
how short his guarantee would be.
I hope you will understand.
Ron Byers

The present eSoftAnywhere email address will be discontinued but I will,
for some time at least, continue to get Konrad's email if it is addressed to
.

My name is Randy Long, a friend of Konrad's who worked with him on his last
contract in Connecticut. Ron asked me to post this message, and to look
into removing the 30 day trial restriction and distributing the DSP software
as freeware. I will have to identify the last stable version, and re-make
it enabling the registration feature. The DSP software is a combination of
Clarion, C++ and C. Supporting this software beyond my expertise and
interest. I will, however look into setting up a newsgroup and setting up
an open source organization.
