psk31 ic706 and VOX

I am using a ic706 in vox mode for psk31.. and it appears that the vox
doesn't like psk

from what i can tell.. there are only certain frequency ranges that the vox
will keep keyed steadly in.. It makes it difficult to use in vox mode,
unless i remember where i can and can't transmit without making the relay
click on and off..

anyone else experience this ? or have any ideas

Using VOX while in digital mode must be very crude!
Especially with PSK and other sound card stuff.

Really not all that bad. You do need to fiddle with the antivox and vox
gain a bit on the 706, but once set it seems to wotk fine. But, it only
takes a single transistor to key the thing from the serial port, so that
works a bunch better.

the only adjustment i can find on the thing is the min gain and the vox
delay. do you know how to get to these other settings ?
