Hi, anyone here use this radio for DXing? I recognize that it is a
QRP rig, and just wonder what the main difference is between 5 and 100
watts. 1 S unit? 2?

Thanks.

That is a factor of 20, which is 13 dB. Although most (all) receivers are
somewhat nonlinear in dB/S-unit, 5-6 dB is a commonly-accepted value, so a
little more than 2 S-units is to be expected (YMMV).

Thanks for the reply, Bob, N7XY! I have one more question for the
group. If the one big punch (OBP) put out by W4RT, amounts to a 5 dB
improvement or 1 S-unit, that is pretty darn good - isn't it?
