Rockwell Collins "PropMan 2000" propagation s/w

For those of you who have the Rockwell Collins
"PropMan 2000" propagation prediction s/w
package, you may have noticed that the program
no longer retrieves "Space Weather" input from
the internet automatically, but gives error messages.

This is due to the fact that the sources of the data
have changed because of several factors:

1) NOAA has switched satellites for some of the proton
data, due to operational considerations ... this caused
filenames to change (old filenames based on satellite x
are no longer being updated, but the equivalent data is
now available from satellite y)
2) directory structures on the servers have changed

I have created a new "propman.ini" file that contains
the information necessary to retrieve the space wx
data. It is available for amateur use on my personal
web page at http://home.ptd.net/~wk3c

The SSN (smoothed sunspot data) is no longer available
automatically, but can be retrieved and entered manually
from http://www.nwra-az.com/spawx/env_latest.html

use the "NWRA SSNe" data from the rightmost column
for the current date.

I hope this information is helpful. I have been talking with
the engineer at Rockwell Collins and he has verified that
my propman.ini works correctly. They are also considering
modifying the parser that read the old SSN data file to extract
the SSN data from the website above (if they implement this,
it will require another change to propman.ini to point to the
website so the program can "see" and parse the SSN data)

73,
Carl - wk3c
