To be fair, there was a day or two gap before people realized that
it was a fake, so it probably just missed their publication deadline.

There is a line here about a Presidential candidate but is is just TOO

I guess the staff has not seen too many sat photos !

The time was wrong, and there are many photos from space
sats, apollo or shuttle archives that show the usa during power outages
that are genuine and the states blacked out are visible from space.

Would have made a good april fool issue
