The DXLab Suite is free, and will control your IC-746 Pro. Besides the
usual management of frequency and mode, DXLab - provides 10 banks of 10 memories - can continuously display the correct settings for your tuner and/or amplifier as a function of transceiver frequency - can automatically switch between 3 transceivers as a function of frequency - provides comprehensive logging with automatic capture of transceiver frequency and mode, QSL card/label generation, real-time upload to eQSL.cc, download of eQSL.cc and LotW confirmations, award tracking, progress reporting, etc. - decodes all PSK31 or PSK63 QSOs within a 3.5 khz band segment, continuously displaying a list of heard callsigns for one-click selection; one more mouse click will QSY your transceiver to put the QSO on a prespecified optimal audio offset - provides soundcard RTTY via the included MMTTY engine and can optionally provide a second RTTY channel for diversity decoding via an external modem (KAM, PK232, HAL, etc); as with PSK, the transceiver can be QSY'd to move a RTTY QSO to a prespecified optimal audio offset within the passband - captures DX spots from up to 6 sources (telnet clusters, a local packet cluster, DX Summit), merges these in real time to provide one entry per spotted station with no duplicates, and QSYs your transceiver to the correct frequency, mode, and split when you double- click on an entry - plots DX spots on a world map; double-clicking on a plotted spot QSYs your transceiver to the correct frequency and mode - lets you create a list of IARU/NCDXF HF beacons, and QSYs your transceiver to monitor each beacon in sequence The above list is limited to functionality related to transceiver control. There is much more... Comprehensive documentation is available online and can be reviewed without first installing the software. See www.qsl.net/dxlab for additional information and documentation, downloading, and installation hyperlinks. 73, Dave, AA6YQ "Gary Boyer" wrote in message news ![]() Does anyone have any suggestions on control software for the Icom IC-746Pro....using the Icom CT-17 interface......please advise..tnx...Gary..K8BY |
