A real time indicator of band conditions is the NCDXF/IARU Beacon system at
URL:
http://www.ncdxf.org/Beacon/intro.html

Using the beacon system, you can ascertain band conditions from 20M to 10M
by checking the beacons around the world.

You may need assistance in determining where the beacons are transmitting
from, if so several programs are available -- see URL:
http://www.ncdxf.org/Beacon/BeaconPrograms.html
