Gee folks all the posts today had nothing to do with Amateur Radio DXing CB doesn't belong here For sale Items belong on rec.radio.swap Shortwave stuff belongs on rec.radio.shortwave I'll assume this last one was directed at me. I'll also assume that you didn't bother to follow the entire thread, because otherwise your post today makes little sense as regards myself. Maybe you ought to go back and read it, or re-read it if I'm mistaken. As it turns out, the unusual signal that I was getting in the MW band (that's the part that you need to pay attention to) was an image or spurious signal resulting from a SW band transmission, and was caused by an inferior receiver. I didn't know that when I posted here, but thanks to in part Doug Smith I now understand what's going on. If I had posted my "Why am I receiving at 1615 MW?" question in the shortwave group, no doubt your doppleganger over there would have jumped my ass for an off-topic post since -clearly- it was a MW question. I can continue, if you'd like. Oh yes, please do go on. Was it a spur, was it the actual signal? Have you heard it again? At what times? Did you get station ID? What were you hearing on 160 at the time? -- ... Hank http://horedson.home.att.net http://w0rli.home.att.net |
