Drake 2-B help

It could be so many things, but my 2-B has nothing but a hiss, moving the
preselector does not help or change anything, hooking up the antenna does
nothing and no stations come in at all, just a hiss and the typical light
hum and tapping on certain parts of the radio could be heard thru the
speaker.
Any suggestions?

Thanks for the read

Gil

Also tubes, caps, etc.. Sounds like the front end is dead. Maybe a
12BZ6???, or something like that...Also , I think a 12AU6 in the next
circuit.I forgot what they are using...I have a 2c, but not a
2b..Also, make sure the xtal is actually oscillating. A dead xtal
would cause that. Make sure the xtal switch is in "normal" position,
and not set to "aux" unless you have an xtal in the aux socket. Clean
all switches with tuner cleaner. Bandswitches, everything. MK
