Yaesu FT707 fault, help
 

hi all,
i was wondering if any body could shed abit of light on a fault i have
with my FT707,
when switched on the display shows random numbers it reads, 9x.xxx.xx
(x been a constantly changing number)
there is no rx or tx on any band, yet there is audio, and the MARK does
work, but only on 20m
there is no xtals in the set.
it's a 707 with WARC bands
i have no clue as to what it could be...any help would be great.

Hi Mart,

Do you mean the heterodyne oscillator crystals are missing? If this is the
case then there will be no conversion and thus no freq readout and no RX or
TX.
Do you have a schematic and a scope?
