Looking for GOOD general coverage receiver with DSP IF

Trying to participate in the Maritime Mobile Service Net on 14.300 this
weekend with that contest on has convinced me I need a better receiver.

Any suggestions for a good general-coverage receiver with a good IF DSP?

I like the transceivers I have (FT-1000 and TS-940S) and don't want to get
rid of them or trade them in for one of the new megabuck rigs but I do
need a better receiver for times like this weekend.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated...

I have one of these, 100% DSP.

Good evening, Brian.

So, how do you like it?

Does it live up to all that hype on the Universal Radio sales page?

If it does half of what the marketing types at UR claim it does, it sounds
like a pretty good unit.

Kind of pricey, though. But I guess all of the good stuff is pricey,
these days.

Good evening, Brian. As

Outstanding SWL rcvr, a 10 out of 10. As a ham rcvr it's a 9 out of
10.

On one hand in general yes, on the other hand no radio lives up to
it's manufacturer's marketing hype. There's a detailed by the-the-
numbers review of it in the ARRL website.

Yup.
