HELP WITH KENWOOD TS-940S AT PLEASE
A ham friend of mine has a problem with his Kenwood TS-940S, For some reason, he cannot get the Automatic Antenna tuner to work on 160, 75 or 40 meters. When he hits the ATT, AUTO and SEND buttons, the tuner seems to start trying to find a match, but just keeps hunting back and forth and then cuts off. He does not have this problem on the other bands. He has tried tuning into his 50 ohm dummy load, and still has the same problem. (As a aside, one night when he was not paying attention to what he was doing, he kept hitting the ATT button on and off while on 75/160 and 40 meters.) He cannot find anything in the operations manual on how to adjust the auto tuner. Any help out there please? Also is there a Kenwood Users Group he can check into? Please respond here and/or to Thanks. 73, Murray, K3BEQ |
It's not an adjustment. It probably has a stuck relay. Usually the 20m one.
