What's Going On With Softrock?

Hi, all.

I'm hoping to start my amateur radio life with a QRP
Software-Defined Radio, and the Softrock 40 seems
like a great place to start. However, the guy, who
makes them (Tony) doesn't seem to respond to
emails, so I'm thinking they're not shipping right now.

Does anyone know what I need to do to get some
kind of small, inexpensive transceiver that can be
controlled by Ham Radio Deluxe, PowerSDR, etc.?

Thanks!

I've had similar questions, however, there's a note from Tony dated Dec
24, 2007 indicating that kits will continue in 2008. Check the
softrock40 yahoo group.

Have Fun!

No one is going to answer a lot of "what if" questions for you there
but if you will order something and build it you will find everyone
wants to help you make it work. I started with the SoftRock 40
receiver and have yet to be disappointed. Don't expect to be treated
like a customer, expect to be treated like one of the gang.

Now if I really understood HOW it works....
