Here is the mod for the board version I have in case someone else is
ever interested.

"The only modification I show for reducing spurs on the FX146 Rev. 1.3
is to place a 0.001 uF capacitor from TP1 to ground."

I figure if it even works - that is good for me as this was a lesson in
soldering. With what I've learned from the different kits I've been
working on, I'm ready now to tackel my Elecraft K2
