IC 706 MKII
 

Hi
I am trying to wire up my linear amp to the 706 MK II. I have wired ptt line
on pin 3 and ground on pin 2. It shuts down the linear when I key the rig.
Using 13 pin socket.
Any ideas appreciated.

The 706 can only sink so much current. Could be the internal
linear relay isn't working as it should?
Just a thought. Maybe you need an external relay (ss or mechanical)
to do the trick. I use a tiny relay removed from an old
modem board.
