Default Pro and consYaesu FT-1000MP Mark-V ?

Hi,

In order to complete my last page devoted to a review of the Yaesu FT-1000MP
Mark-V available next week on my website
http://www.astrosurf.com/lombry/menu-qsl.htm
I would like to know the opinion of users in a few words.

If you used this Mark-V for more than one year, I would like that you draw
me the main positive and negative points of this model in afew words.
Personnaly I think to the next points, but they are probably 5 to 10 more :

+ : 200W, 3 IF stages, many direct access options, many excellent
anti-interference tools, efficient and powerful DSP at IF stages, optional
Collins mechanical filters, custom multi-function bar graphs, many lights
and warning on display and control panel, quick access to memories, double
VFO, DSP speaker
- : bulky, outmoded design, outmoded fluorescent digital display (instead of
LCD), Menu access to revise, complex Menuing with neither scrolling nor
full text, RIT/SPLIT renamed CLAR/VFO RX-TX, external PSU, no bandscope, too
complex reset procedures, etc

Your appreciation is welcome.

As I am sure you know, it has key clicks on CW without one of the
popular mods. Lots of features, though..

Do yourself a favor and find a USED FT1000D, not the MP or any of the other
variations. The best of the best of the bunch is the 1000D.

Hi,

I have one friend here in LX that sells in FT1000D (he own the Mark-V too ).
The price requested if probably not cheap yet...
NB. In Europe the argus rate this model at 1940 euros and decreasing.
