Help needed Yaesu FT-757GX! How does the VFO knob come off?

How do you get the VFO knob to come off? Do you just pull? There is no
screw on the knob itself. The VFO knob is now so loose it's impossible
to tune so I have to get in there. Any help appreciated! TIA!

Your problem is the same one I faced a few months ago. Sounds like the
rotary encoder is shot. I ordered one from a Yaesu distributor, the cost
was about $35.00 US. Took me about two hours to fix and now is as good as
new. Is a typical 757 trait....

All the best and here's to many more hours of DXing.
