Anyone know why motorola only "installed" 8 channels for scanning on a 99 channel radio? Can it be modded to add more slots?

Not unless you can build a PRom Simulator that plugs into where the PRom
goes and write a whole bunch of code in the Simulator.....

Hahahahahaha. Because they want you to pay them to turn on the other
channels, or change frequencies, or re-program the radio, etc.
