Actually Andy is right...horrible radio! I had two of them, the
first destroyed by fire ( regulator shorted inside it) Yaesu replaced the
radio. Second one lasted 3 weeks and went dark (no fire). I tore that

of crap out and replaced it with a Kenwood TM-G707A ($269) and VERY
happy.The FT90R is a turd of a radio. Read all about them on www.eham.com

The TM-G707A is what I use. I've owned 3 of them as a matter of fact. None
of the broke, I just got rid of the other two at various times to try other
radios, but I've gone back to the 707 in the car.
