I am using ICOM 706MKII with the original mic
i should speak too loudly into the mic to get more output power!
but this disturb my XYL and my own health!
and I can't get amplified mic
Any alternative please

Talk close to the mic (about 2 - 4 cm away).

Increase the sensitivity. In the setup menu is something for this. Offhand I
don't remember what it is; take a look in the manual.

Have you tried to Increase the mic gain in the Quick set menu? Don't
remember the number. Push and hold the DISPLAY button. Then find the Mic
gain item.
