What's the deal with this radio that makes it worth $10,000? Shiny! DC-to-daylight, lots of features. Dual this, multiple that, passband t'other, panadaptor displays. It's enough to overflow my PC's glitz buffer. Who knows, it may even be as sensitive as my FRG-100 in the HF bands. I don't expect it to be as sensitive as my R-390, but it does cover a lot more territory. -- Lots of couples say, "We want a baby." I never heard one say, "We want a teen-ager." -- Ruth Moore, private communication |

However, one thing that caught my eye was the IP 3. It was in the 'watts' range. Useful for the multi op contesters, I'm sure. I also here the simulated meters are pretty neat. -- Steve N, K,9;d, c. i My email has no u's. |
