Default IC-2AT and 12 Volt Power Source

I'm not sure if the IC-T2A can do full power TX for extended periods,
as required for a fox transmitter. If you switch it to low power,
then the current will be lower and hence less of an issue.

Keep in mind that most fox hunting is *AM*.
This is actually not difficult: locate a mobile rig with ALC/SWR protection
(a crystal rig is fine), adjust it to 1/4 of the max rated power, then
insert the audio modulation through a capacitor to the SWR/ALC circuit.
With luck, the ALC circuit will nicely modulate the PA in AM.

With the rigs I used, the modulation was clean, not exactly linear but
sufficient for wobbler tones or EISH5 as required for fux hunting.

As a benefit, mobile rigs (especially when turned down) stand a batter
chance of being able to survive 100% key-down for a fox hunt, as it's
heat design will be better than the T2A handheld..

Cheers,
