I have a TS450 that is coming back from the repair shop as costing more than
it is worth to have it fixed. I suffered some sort of indirect lightning pulse, as it did not have an antenna connected and was turned off. Doug- Check to see if the power supply regulator might have failed as a result of the strike, causing voltage in the order of 20 volts to damage the TS-450 the next time it was turned on. For service information, there may be a manual available at http://www.mods.dk/. After you get to the Kenwwod page, look for the link to Manuals. They limit you to two manual downloads per day, and failed attempts count. You also might try a different repair shop. Good Luck. 73, Fred, K4DII |
