Is this not the guy who was soliciting for 'donations' of gear to a ham
club several months ago?

Yes, but he also seems to upgrade/downgrade his station pretty regularly. A
real gadget-man by the looks! It's possible to do things outside your own
personal life so what's your beef?

Perhaps this is his own stuff, so be it... The point is, he did some things
a few months back which is what placed the shadow of doubt upon him. He had
solicited for donations of equipment for a Ham club, and if memory serves me
correct, specific items. A couple months later - a similar list of items was
placed up for sale by him, stating it was being sold BY him FOR the club.
Funny, when they were supposedly in need in the first place. The reason
given for need was Emergency Comms. Now, WHY would you solicit for gear then
sell it, IF YOU NEED IT? It had a very shady appearance. THAT is why people
are now questioning the legitimacy here. And to be honest, his replies gave
no hint of honesty or facts, but cast further doubt on him. Most anyone who
witnessed all that can vouch for it. Do some googles on this, you may see it
for yourself.

Apparently, you missed all that, but MANY did not. IF he was doing things on
the up and up then - so be it. He has no one to blame but himself for
drawing suspicion as to HOW he was doing it. Was he guilty of any wrong
doing? That isn't for me to say, but he sure made it look bad for himself.
That was the opinion of quite a few.
