Difference between IC-718 and IC-78

Hello
Can someone tell me what the difference is ? They seem to be 100%
identical, except the "1" in the name

The IC-78 does not have a VFO mode. You have to pre program memory
channels and work from them. So even though you can redily program the
memory channels, you can't tune around like the VFO in the IC-718
allows. If you want to move even a KkHz you will need to reprogram the
memory channel.
