With that in mind, I'm probably going to put a PAR OA-50
up a 20' pole and maybe get an amp for 6 meters - that should
work FB (I hope).


Ken....should work fine. Mine is up around 30' and does a fine job (on a
ridgeline, to boot). As for the amp, if you like homebrewing, there was a
decent design in QST some years ago...think the design is on the 6m.com site.
I built it, works great.

Ugh, I take that back! They" have "improved" that site to the point
where it loads like a pig, and I am left with a gazillion "Loading Applet"
buttons.

These people never heard of KISS.


On the OP's topic, these folks used to have App Notes on the
construction of VHF amplifiers that I had been drooling over
for some time. This web site seems to have changed, too. I
hope the App Notes are still in there - somewhe
