I'm looking for a 10 watt in, minimum 100 w out
all mode 6m amp with a preamp. The only one I've
found is the Mirage A-1015-G for about $390.

Are there cheaper options out there?

Ken,
See if you can find anything on TE Systems. I did a search and found
reviews on their gear but no website for the company so I'm not sure
of their status. Recall seeing their ads in QST a few times in the
past year or two so they might be around but just not on the web.

Dosen't this cut the option of FM repeater to 1? I have a 290 (the 2m version)
and it only has PL (CTCSS) on/offf. The actual frequency is set by dip switches
which require the radio to be disasembled to change.

Yes, but imagine their surprise when you show up on a 2m repeater with a
linked 6m input. When I lived in Philly I used to do that on 10m.
Once had a QSO with one guy in St Louis, one in Maine, one on 440 and me
all on a 440/10m linked repeater, I assume you could do similar with
6m too.

You should keep in mind what you don't use, you loose, the 6m band here
(Israel) is 50000 to 50200 with a 25 watt limit.
