The bands were still poor with a lot of QSB and again mostly European
contacts. One from Hollywood but this was Hollywood, County Down, and a
Canadian VA3ITA but he was on holiday on Ischia Island in Italy! However a
portable station from Zefat City, Israel was quite strong. Another
holidaying ham, a German in Crete had been allowed to set up a 40 metre
dipole on the roof of his hotel.

The club was given 5 points from II0IEM, an Italian Special Event Station
run from December 8th 2015 to November 20th 2016 to celebrate the Giubileo
Straordinario della Misericordia or Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy declared
by Pope Francis. Awards are available for stations in Europe gaining 50
points or more.
