FRG7 - technical question
Never look a gift horse in the mouth, but it didn't come
with a manual, so... With the Wadley loop providing 30 1 MHz bands without switching, and with the 2nd IF being a constant component of all the bands, how come the FRG7 is deaf below 500kHz (no reception of Radio 4 on 198 kHz)? Is it a limitation of the preselector? |

FRG7 - technical question
Yes, the input circuitry, before the RF amp. If you look at the schematic, trace the MW (BC) input to the 1st transistor. If you substituted a low pass filter, inputting to the 1st amp, you might get your LW station.
