Lincoln Shortwave Club - Bringing Amateur Radio to the Community


It is with much sadness that I have to report the sudden death on 5th March
of Fred Bennewitz G6BPH; Fred has been a member of.Lincoln Short Wave Club
for over 20 years although he hasn’t been able to attend meetings recently
as he was his wife Anne’s carer; Anne is now in a Care Home in Saxilby.




Fred’s funeral will take place on Monday 30th March at ten past three at
Lincoln Crematorium. Anyone that knew Fred is welcome to go to the funeral
but his family will understand if you can’t get under these current
circumstances; if you do feel able to go can you please let me know; the
crematorium is limiting mourners to 30. There will be tea and coffee at the
Pyewipe after the funeral.
