Don't do it! Superglue solvent & MFJ vinyl coating.....
I was having a problem keeping my station accesories
arranged in a neat order. I figured a drop of superglue here and there would keep things where I need them and if I ever needed to break the glue, well, that's what acetone is for. I glued an item to the side of my MFJ SWR meter then a few months later, needed to make a change. The joint "popped" easily but I was left with unsightly residue. I soaked the part in acetone and sure enough, the dried superglue started to turn to rubber. I checked the part every 5 minutes but I didn't check often enough to catch MFJ's vinyl top coat from coming loose! D'oh! Now I'm off to the store to buy a nice can of black crinkle coat spray paint.
