Difference between TS-950SD and TS-950SDX ?

Anyone know the upgrades/changes/improvements, Kenwood made between the
two transceivers?

The DSP-10 digital signal processor is built in on the ts-950 and is
optional accessory on the 950-sd. I have the SD with the DSP-10
essentially making it a 950.

I think you have that backwards. The SD model was the same as the base
950S with the DSP installed. The SDX was a later version. There was a
QST review of the SDX that concentrated on the differences. Ones I
remember are DSP installed with some more functions, different types of
final transistors (bipolar vs FET I think), some additional memory
functions. I believe the consensus was that the SDX was a better
receiver but the S/SD is a cleaner transmitter.
