Strange object : what is it???

Hello, i have a strange surplus (???) object to understand...

It is a metallic container, sealed, with a "BNC" female on the left and a
"N" female on the right.

Size is 11,5 x 5 x 7,5 centimeters.

On the top i can read this :

FCC-550-230-75-NB1
FSCM: 53779
DATE CODE: 8912
S/N 337

A photo here :

It should be a sourge arrestor, but i need the exact specifications.
Can this be useful for an amateur radio station or it is completely useless?

Thank you,,

I suspect you are correct in that it is an old transient supression
device. I don't know what you would use it for in amateur radio, but you
might try to contact Fisher Custom communications. They are in Torrance,
California, USA.

It also might be a pass filter, seeing that it has no grounding point.

Hello Bob,
well there is a "maybe" grounding point on the BNC connector side .
There is a big screw on the connector himself with a big washer, is suppose
it's the grounding point.

Ok, BUT, to be a good suppressor, the grounding point would NOT be close
to the signal in/out.
