36 volt solid state amp?
 

Hi all....
I was given a 36 volt, 24 amp battery charger. I haven't dug into the
insides to see what it uses for a rectifier system, but am wonding if there
are any solid state amps that would run on that kind of voltage..

if it is just a battery charger, probably just has
some diodes in line with the output. and you would have
lots of ripple if you powered an amplifier with this.

But, you have a great start to a 13.8 V/24 Amp. supply.
add a capacitor bank, then go through a regulator circuit.

Plenty of RF transistors and fets that work on 50Vdc.
I have even seen modern rf powerfets in end-stages
operating at 300V lately!

You will need to turn your battery charger into a stabilised supply though.
