Experiences with the Yaesu FT-817

Hi, I just bought this radio and it is on its way to my home. I can't
wait to get it - anyone have any experiences they'd like to share
regarding it?

Since you've already ordered it, you're a bit late asking for this
info, aren't you? :^)

I really like mine as a portable rig when camping... but I wouldn't
suggest it be purchased as a primary HF rig for a home station.

You can get a tremendous amount of info on it at the Yahoo groups
email reflector and at numerous FT817 websites. Happy hunting.
