Default CW recv. performance: IC-7000 vs. IC-746Pro?

I'm thinking about replacing my old IC-751A and had pretty much
settled on the IC-746Pro.

Since the new IC-7000 is going to retail for about the same price as
the IC-746Pro, I'll have to consider it as a candidate. The limited
amount of printed material on it makes it look like its receiver
performance isn't much different from the IC-746. The cosmetics and
small size of the IC-7000 are a drawback, but if it works better, I
can overlook that.

Is anybody in a position to compare the two?

Take a look at the IC-7000 diary published by Oba JA7UDE:

Click the links at the bottom to see the previous months.
By far the best source regarding anything related to the IC-7000.
