I'd like to try everything but I got to start somewhere. I haven't even got my call letters from the FCC yet. Chris On UHF, try ATV (i.e. fast scan TV, which shows real time motion). Try VHF/UHF sideband. During contests there's quite a bit of activity. During band openings, you can work thousands of miles. There's still some enthusiasts doing AM on VHF in some areas. We have some FM simplex nets in our area that are fun. You can even try code on VHF/UHF without having taken the code test. Lots of interesting things crop up. Dee, N8UZE |

I just need to find a CB with a board in it that will work. I'd like to try code on VHF too. That'd be great practice. My licence can't get here fast enough. Chris |
