Why don't you people want quality operators?
 

The more you study the better, but we have a lot of laziness out there.
If the CW requirement goes away, no one but only the best candidates for
licenses will still take time to learn it and be skilled. Everyone else
will just talk on a mic like a CB'er.

What is the average age of a ham, around 60??? It is a dying hobby. CW is
dead. When was the last time someone's life was actually saved by the use
of CW??? One can still study electronic theory without having to learn CW.
Knowing or not knowing CW doesn't make for civilized conversation on the ham
bands. Just listen to the liberty net.
