Ham radio will die a slow ugly death when CW is eliminated.

There are a lot of people that don't see the value of being a skilled
communicator in all aspects of communication. When cw is eliminted they
will run for a license, and bring their bad lazy habits with them.

To clarify, the service won't acually die, the number of people will
increase, but those operators are undesirables because they don't feel
it's worthwhile to have to know or learn anything to be a radio amateur.
They won't care for good operating practices either and ham radio will
start to sound like 11 meters. Good hams will leave the polution that will
start to choke the bands and nowhere will you be able to find a technical
discussion. As ham radio transforms into CB style communication it's a
slow and painful process, but eventually, only Lids will be left in ham
radio, and they'll all be happier than pigs in slop.
