SSB Tranceifer
 

Hi folks ,
can anybody help me to find a brand ( i found only Rhode&Schwarz), wich will
match the following crtiterias for a radio:
The radios sould be modular type with separate transceifer unit, control
unit ,antenna tuning unit.The transceifer should be installt in a 19"
cabinet at the office Control room.Tranceifer control unit shall be desktop
type.A minimum of 100m distance shall be possible between the transceifer
and control unit.The unit shall be operating with 240V AC Power.A stabdby
power supply(DC or AC UPS) with capacity of one hour operation shall also
supplied along with the unit.



Technical Specifikations

1.. The SSB radio supplied shall meet all relevant IMO performance
standarts and ITU radio regulations.
2.. Integrated DSC function shall be available
3.. The operating frequency range shall be 1.6 - 30 Mhz
4.. Maximum Power Output of 250W shall be available with option for user
programmable reduced rates.
5.. The receifer shall have frequency range from 100khz to 30Mhz
6.. The frequency generation shall be based on true digital synthesis
7.. It should be possible to directly select the frequency from the
equipment keyboard At least 50 User programmable channels shall be available
8.. All relevant GMDSS Safty and Distress frequencies shall be available
9.. Frequency stability shall be minimum 0.35ppm
10.. The following operation modes shall be available
a) SSB upper side bandsuppressed carrier (J3E,USB)

b) SSB lower side band suppressed carrier (J3E,LSB)

c) AM H3E

d) R3E upper sideband Reduced carrier



11.. Backlight LED display shall be available for clear identification of
transmit and receife frequencys
12.. The antenna impedance should be 50 Ohm and the antenna tuning unit
should match it automaticly
13.. receifer IF Selectivity shall meet the following rating
a) SSB: 350-2700Hz

b) AM: +/- 3khz



14.. Receifer sensitivity shall meet the following levels for an input
level of 10dB SINAD with 50Ohm antenna.
a) SSB: 0.6 micro Volt

b) AM: 4 micro volt

c) CW : 0.25 micro volt

15.. In band inter modulation level shall not exceed -40dB
16.. The following minimum specifications shall be met by the supplied SSB
radio
a) Image rejection : 80dB

b) IF rejection : 80dB

c) Spurious Response Reaction: 80dB

d) Internal spurious signal generation 5dB SINAD

e) Spurious Emission 20pW/ 50Ohm

f) Unwanted sideband Suppression 60dB PEP

g) Hum and Noise -50dB PEP



17.. Operating temperature range up to +55 Deg.Celsius
18.. The supplied unit shall be either wall mountable or desktop type.All
required mounting and installation accessories should be supplied along
with the unit.
19.. The antenna type shall be a whip unit and shall be capable of
handling the maximum output power of the radio
20.. Antenna unit shall be rugged waterproof type suitable for harsh
marine enviroment
21.. Antenna should be installed at rooftop with suitable waterproof
fixtures (IP66) and the feeder cable shall be low loss armored co-axial
type.
