maxtrac programming needed
 
our radio club has 2 motorola maxtrac radios that we want to put in
the 900mhz ham band.
we can't find the right software to do this can some one help.

Might check with your local two way radio service shops. Think Motorola
only licenses the software to authorized repair shops. The shop would
program the radio, so there will be a service charge. Also the radio
may not reach the amateur section of 900 MHz. Check before if the radio
can be put on the frequency you want.

I can perform this conversion (something I forgot to mention in my
previous post in the other newsgroup) for you. Probably run about $60
labor plus parts.

You need a lot more than just the Maxtrac software (still
available for about $200 or so from Motorola). See my previous reply.
