level hams...a study guide with much additional and useful infomation
from the same folks who produce the series of bright yellow "dummies"
books.

Well worth the time to check out.

Hey, they've got a Homebrewing For Dummies, too. Probably has a chapter on
building a QRP rig that fits in a beer-bottle cap.
