900mhz Wireless headphones
I'm looking to buy 3-5 wireless headphone units and be able to use
them at the same time with one base station. Sony says that I need a seperate unit for each headset model MDR-RF960R. I'm thinking that one base station will be fine for a transmitter and the headphones will all be receivers? You guys think i'm nuts or should I buy a low power FM transmitter and give everyone a cheap walkman with headphones to rock out with? The second idea is quite a bit cheaper. Hmmmmm. Thanks, James |
Hi James,
I by the choice of Mr. Lightening have two headsets and only one transmitter. Before Mr. Lightening I only had one set of each. The headphones are tunable via an external control. These are RCA 900 MHZ cordless headphones. They work very well. For better distance I put the transmitter in the attic and ran shielded cable up for the audio connections. I guess you need to decide how far you want to receive a signal. You also have to remember these are stereo so you will probably need a pretty good signal. I just run the audio into both inputs. Good luck on your project. Larry "Jglassaz" wrote in message om... I'm looking to buy 3-5 wireless headphone units and be able to use them at the same time with one base station.
