Ok, I understand the why and the how GOOGLE is not archiving certain newsgroups. However, even though GOOGLE is no longer archiving certain newsgroups, I am now seeing current dated postings to these same newsgroups. Can you explain to me how this is being done? If not through GOOGLE, which is free, how is it being done? Is there another service providing FREE access to these newsgroups? If so, whom? Simple. Someone has a misconfigured news server. There should be no posts to hierarchial markers. Would you post to a newsgroup called "alt"? Of course not. It's not their fault that some dumb-ass isn't aware of the currently authorized naming.... |
