I have my Icom 2100H 2m rig located rather close to my GPS in my car
(there really is no way to locate them any farther apart). I noticed
some rfi on the GPS.. The screen will lighten when I transmit on high
power (50 Watts). The GPS still seems to function ok.. Will this have
any negative impact on the life of the GPS?

I doubt it unless it's making the GPS turn off, or blank out.
