Have you ever worked at Radio Shack?

A friend of mine is trying to decide between two job offers. One is for a
Manager Trainee position at the local Radio Shack. Thought I'd get on here and
solicit some input.

Good choice or bad choice?

If your friend is a dunce, he would be an excellent candidate for a job at
Radio Shack.

Radio Shack... You got questions, we got blank stares.

I worked part time for a few months at a local Radio Shack to help pay some
bills. Good place to work, the people are mostly friendly. One of the guys I
worked with (Howard) is one of R.S.'s top salesmen and averages between $60 &
$70K/yr.

But for a place like this, you have to like working with the public. And
sometimes the people can be real....well, you know.

If one of their "top salesmen" can't average more that that, then it doesn't
strike me as a very promising place to make a living!
