Thank you.

I am ceasing transmissions on our group's 3, 6, and 13 MHz
frequencies immediately. However, 13.555 MHz is allocated by the
FCC as a Part 15 frequency and can be used without a license. Part
15 has fairly strict rules regarding power output and antenna
limitations. I understand that frequency can be used by any mode of
communication. So... I may set up a LEGAL part 15 station of some
sort, either CW or SSB, if they are permitted, and attempt operation
at some date and time, probably when band conditions are better.
Like in 5 or 6 years. :) Otherwise, I shall remain a listener-
only, as stated below.

On 13MHz it's 10,000 microvolts per meter at 30 meters

Whoopsie... looks like I inadvertently stepped into something of which
I have no clue as to what is going on. X-scuuuuuse me.

I guess I'll just look up the facts and figures/rules & regs regarding
Part 15 operation in the 13 MHz band myself. Please allow me to
gracefully bow out of whatever is going on here. ??

Ahhhhh... it's beginning to come back to me now. I was wondering why
I ceased spending much time here on USENET. I certainly hope this is
fun for some of you; this appears, at least, to be the case. The
ultimate purpose of some of these curiously insulting comments rather
allude me at the moment. Maybe I need to spend more time here to
figure it all out. Then again....

Gee... I actually found the information somewhat useful. Now I
suppose I need to verify its authenticity given the heated reactions
it caused. Such a curious conundrum.

Danny, Danny Danny, I was just point out what the power requirement for
a part 15 device on 13 Mhz was. you don't have to bust a nut over it

Well... this is two strikes, and that's quite enough. I guess a good
ol' "plonk" (is that what it's called?) is in order, Mr. Smith.

bye bye

Hey, you wouldn't be a Dr. Ace colleague, would you? (That's a
rhetorical question, seeing as I will not be viewing any more of your
trash.) Maybe if someone could provide me a list of all perverts,
low-lifes, rude, ignorant, and otherwise brain-dead USENET
contributors, I could assemble a list of bit-bucket... excuse me,
"plonk"... candidates without actually having to read their offensive
blather.

I know, I know... I probably have to play to properly give the losers
their due. Maybe USENET isn't my bag after all. What a strange
place....
